There will be some interstate riding (I-190) but will try and minimize this as much as possible. Travels on Saturday will take us through parts of the Allegheny Forest to the Kinzua Dam along route 6; 146; 46; 120 to the Inn. Approximately 260 miles on Saturday from Fort Erie. On Sunday we will stop at the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon on route home, approximately 215 miles to Fort Erie.
The Black Forest Inn is a small hotel with a great tavern. Rooms generally have two beds in them in case some would like to team up. Cost of the room is approximately $85.00 USD and includes cereal breakfast but if wanting something more substantial the restaurant is available.. There was only 7 rooms left at the time of this notice being sent out. First come, first served. Please call the hotel yourself to book your room, 1-570-769-6070 then e-mail Donna Speck-Newman at to let her know how many are attending.
There is a 24 hour cancellation policy at the hotel. Should you call to get a room and be told there aren't any left please contact Donna and let her know you are interested in attending. Provide her with all telephone numbers where she may reach you in case an opening becomes available.
If anyone has booked a room and needs to cancel please notify Donna that you have cancelled, and provide an opportunity for the people on the wait list to take your place. Rick and I are looking forward to a fantastic weekend of great scenery, windy country roads and fantastic people.
